Tank based chillers store water at the chilled temperature and direct chill only chills as the water is dispensed. Direct chill is better as it saves energy. As we are experts in water filtration, we would always recommend you have it mains-fed if possible with a filter kit as this is the cheaper, more effective and environmentally friendly option.
